I thought D3 was fine, but honestly once D2R came out and I went back to play D2, I couldn’t bring myself to play D3 anymore. D2 / D2R, for me, is what I would have considered a good target for D4. That said, I didn’t think it was for me either. ![]() It does sound like this may just not be for you. I couldn’t get any drops that would support it, didn’t see the dungeons that would unlock abilities that would help… so I went Frost. Eventually in the 40s, I got a few good frost spec drops and finally gave up on lightning. I did the same when I started, since it worked well in the beta. In d4 if you are not lucky on gear - already slow and boring fight becames even worse. Spells become more and more powerfull and don’t relly so on gear. Then you amlost stop using mana potions as your mana globe recovery and it’s size are good enough to spam over mob pack with your skill, and go to next pack. ![]() ![]() In d2 you suffer issues with resources on an ealry stage of game - 1-10 level I guess. Yeah - picture is cooler… Clases are almost same… and game has Diablo in common…for now - only in naming. Ok, here am I - big fan of D2 with hundreds oof hours played… And D4 is not even close to d2 experience. PoE is about 2 day untill map steam roll like 1 button steam roll, and then its grinding to do elder/shaper/Darus/maven, it is also very enjoyable but D4 is a lot more in the play style of D2 i would say, slow and steady steam roll will come, but it isn’t gonna be for free of using your one single braincell… I find it funny how (my self included) being an old diablo 2 player with probably 10k + hours in it are enjoying diablo 4, while PoE’ers / D3’ers does not seem to enjoy the game as much.
